White: A person having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, Middle East, or North Africa.

Black or African American: A person having origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa.

Hispanic or Latino: A person of Cuban, Mexican, Puerto Rican, South or Central American, or other Spanish culture or origin, regardless of race.

Asian: A person having origins in any of the original peoples of the Far East, Southeast Asia, or the Indian subcontinent including, for example, Cambodia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippine Islands, Thailand, and Vietnam.

American Indian or Alaska Native: A person having origins in any of the original peoples of North and South America (including Central America), who maintains cultural identification though tribal affiliation or community attachment.

Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander: A person having origins in any of the original peoples of Hawaii, Guam, Samoa, or other Pacific Islands.

Student Type	Description
First Year Student	You are a senior in high school (this includes dual enrolled students) or you have never enrolled in a college or university.
Transfer Student	You are currently or were previously enrolled at another college or university (this excludes dual enrolled students).
Non-Degree Seeking Student	You have earned a bachelor’s degree and plan to take courses to satisfy prerequisite requirements for admission into a professional program.
Transient Student	You are currently enrolled at another college or university (your home institution) and plan to takes courses temporarily at Tuskegee University with the intention of transferring the course credit back to your home institution.
Second Degree Seeking Student	You have earned a bachelor’s degree and are seeking a second bachelor's degree in a different major.
Graduate Degree Seeking Student	You have earned a bachelor’s degree and plan to enroll and earn your master's degree.
Readmit Student	You have not been enrolled for more than 2 semesters and has not earned a bachelor's or graduate degree during your time away from Tuskegee University.
